These resources can help in various ways: Understanding and accessing benefits & financial support The GOV.UK site, helplines above, and charities like Scope can help you see what you are entitled to, assist with applications or appeals. Rights, discrimination, advocacy Organisations like Disability Rights UK, Mind, EASS can help if you are facing discrimination or need help asserting your rights. Local support / peer networks User-led organisations (DPULOs) are often best placed to know local services, peer support, disability-specific help in your area. Employment and training support Some organisations (e.g. AoD, charities specialising in work) offer support to find or sustain employment. Creative, social, wellbeing Organisations like Shape Arts help ensure disabled people can engage in arts and creative work. Also support networks and community groups can help combat isolation.
